Leo returned to training with Paris Saint-Germain on Wednesday after securing a winners’ medal at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar with Argentina. On his return to Paris, he received a tribute from all of his teammates and club staff. “Thank you very much to my teammates and everyone at the club for the welcome I received on my return. I’m now back and raring to achieve the objectives for the season here at PSG", commented Leo after receiving an award and being treated to a guard of honour from his teammates at the club’s Camps de Loges training ground.

Leo has smashed the record for the Instagram post with the most likes after publishing a photo on the social media platform in which he is pictured lifting the World Cup trophy. The post received over 57 million “likes” in less than 48 hours. Leo previously held the record for the most-liked post in the sports industry with the photo following Argentina’s Copa América triumph in July 2021.
LEO AWARDED ADIDAS GOLDEN BALL AT QATAR WORLD CUP

Leo has secured the adidas Golden Ball, awarded to the tournament's best player, at the World Cup in Qatar after leading Argentina to glory following victory over France in the final. The Argentine, who landed the Man of the Match accolade in the showpiece, was named as the standout player in five of the Albiceleste’s seven outings on Arab soil.
Leo, who finished the World Cup in Qatar with seven goals and three assists to his name, also claimed the adidas Golden Ball crown at the 2014 edition in Brazil.
