Leo spoke to the media ahead of the Leagues Cup final between Inter Miami and Nashville, stating that the team is raring to go and excited at the prospect of lifting the trophy, while also commenting on the warm reception he has received in the USA since he embarked on this new chapter.
Leagues Cup final v. Nashville: "We're about to play a final, everyone is very happy. The team have taken great strides since the appointment of Tata Martino and we're really pleased to have achieved our first objective, which was to qualify for the the Concachampions. Securing our first trophy would be very special for everyone."
Look-back on Leagues Cup campaign: "We've adapted well right from the start thanks to the effort from every member of the team. We knew this was a chance to turn things around following our league form. It's a good opportunity to set goals and go out and compete. We came up against Mexican teams, who are very strong and have internationally recognised players. The US sides have real quality and are capable of going toe to toe with the Mexican teams."
Start of US adventure: "Since I arrived, the welcome I've been given has been impressive. There are many Latinos in the city and that makes everything easier.
