Leo and Inter Miami will be aiming to secure a spot in the US Open Cup final on Wednesday, when they take on FC Cincinnati at the TQL Stadium in Ohio, just days after etching their name into the history books following the Leagues Cup triumph. The Florida-based outfit head into the semi-final against the MLS Eastern Conference leaders on the back of a seven-game winning streak.
On a personal level, Leo's seven outings for the North American side have yielded ten goals and one assist.

Inter Miami overcame Nashville on penalties to be crowned Leagues Cup winners after Leo had struck in the 23rd minute of the showpiece.

The Florida-based outfit rewrite the history books by winning their first major piece of silverware and becoming the first US side to triumph in the competition, which is contested between MLS and Liga MX clubs.

This latest trophy triumph is the 44th of Leo's career, while his goal brings his tally for Inter Miami to ten in seven outings.

Leo and Inter Miami go in search of Leagues Cup glory on Saturday, when they take on Nashville at Geodis Park in Tennessee in the final. This game offers the nine-goal Argentinian the opportunity to secure his first piece of silverware with the Florida outfit in this, his seventh outing for the club.

Leo spoke to the media ahead of the Leagues Cup final between Inter Miami and Nashville, stating that the team is raring to go and excited at the prospect of lifting the trophy, while also commenting on the warm reception he has received in the USA since he embarked on this new chapter.

Leagues Cup final v. Nashville: "We're about to play a final, everyone is very happy. The team have taken great strides since the appointment of Tata Martino and we're really pleased to have achieved our first objective, which was to qualify for the the Concachampions. Securing our first trophy would be very special for everyone."

Look-back on Leagues Cup campaign: "We've adapted well right from the start thanks to the effort from every member of the team. We knew this was a chance to turn things around following our league form. It's a good opportunity to set goals and go out and compete. We came up against Mexican teams, who are very strong and have internationally recognised players. The US sides have real quality and are capable of going toe to toe with the Mexican teams."

Start of US adventure: "Since I arrived, the welcome I've been given has been impressive. There are many Latinos in the city and that makes everything easier. Leo is now one win away from securing his first piece of silverware as an Inter Miami player following the team’s 4-1 victory over Philadelphia Union in the Leagues Cup semi-finals. The Argentinian scored the Florida outfit’s second goal to bring his tally to nine goals in six games.

Leo’s Inter Miami are in Leagues Cup semi-final action on Tuesday, when they meet Philadelphia Union for a place in the showpiece on Saturday, 18 August. The last-four showdown at Chester’s Subaru Park will be Leo’s sixth outing for the Florida outfit, with whom he has claimed eight goals and one assist.
