Leo Messi is set to lead Argentina in the national team’s final outing of the calendar year against Brazil in San Juan, a contest that will close out the latest 2022 World Cup qualifying double-header. The Albiceleste head into the encounter on the back of a 1-0 away success against Uruguay.

Argentina take on Uruguay in the Río de la Plata Clásico in the 13th round of the 2022 Qatar World Cup qualifying campaign.

The sides will face off at the Estadio Campeón del Siglo. Argentina, who ran out 3-0 winners in the reverse fixture, head into the contest in second place in the group with 25 points to their name.
