Argentina have booked their place in the Copa América final, in which they will take on Brazil. After the semi-final meeting against Colombia ended 1-1 in normal time, with Leo Messi providing the assist for the Albiceleste's goal, the Argentines ran out 3-2 winners in the penalty shootout. This will be the fifth final that Leo is involved in with Argentina.

Argentina will do battle for a place in the Copa América final when they take on Colombia. Leo Messi, who captains the Albiceleste, is the tournament's leading goalscorer and assist provider (four apiece) and has landed the Man of the Match award on four occasions.

Leo Messi offered his thoughts after Argentina secured their place in the Copa América semi-finals and he had the following to say: "We came out on top in a really important game. One of our objectives was to reach the final four. We now have to rest up because there isn't long until our next game. I've always said that individual prizes are secondary, we've come here to achieve something else. I want to congratulate the squad for the work that's being put in, we've now been away from our families for a long time. We've got an objective and are focused on it."

Leo Messi netted once and provided two assists as Argentina ran out 3-0 winners over Ecuador to advance to the Copa América semi-finals, where the Albiceleste will lock horns with Colombia.

Argentina are set to take on Ecuador in the Copa América quarter-finals. Leo Messi is the leading scorer (three), assist provider (2) and dribbler in the group stage of the tournament, in which Argentina topped Group A.

Leo Messi ended the group stage of the Copa América as the competition's leading goalscorer (three) and assist provider (two), whilst he completed the most dribbles (21) as Argentina claimed top spot in Group A.
