Barcelona head to the Juventus Stadium on Wednesday night for their Champions League Matchday 2 meeting with Juventus. Leo Messi secured his fourth European Cup crown against the Vecchia Signora in the 2014/15 season.

 

Leo Messi will this Saturday feature in the latest league Clásico against Real Madrid. The Barcelona captain tops the fixture's scoring charts with 26 goals, whilst he has also claimed 14 assists in his 43 matches.

 

The goal and assist he claimed against Ferencváros means that Leo Messi has now been directly involved in 150 goals in 144 Champions League appearances. The Argentine has netted 116 times and provided 34 assists.

 

Leo Messi claimed another two Champions League records in the 5-1 triumph over Ferencváros. The Azulgranas' skipper's spot-kick brought his tally to a record-breaking 69 group-stage goals, whilst he has now netted in 16 consecutive Champions League campaigns, a feat no other player has ever achieved.

 

This Tuesday sees Leo Messi begin a new Champions League campaign with Barcelona, who take on Ferencváros. Leo has won the competition on four occasions during his career (2006, 2009, 2011 and 2015).

 

On this day in 2004, Leo Messi made his debut for the Barcelona first team. He was aged 17 and wore the number 30 on his back in the LaLiga meeting with Espanyol. The current Azulgranas' skipper returns to LaLiga action on Saturday, when Barça travel to the Coliseum to take on Getafe.
