Leo Messi has been named in the Best XI from the latest edition of the Champions League. The Barcelona skipper posted an average of 8.37 points after plundering six goals and providing three assists.

Leo Messi has now arrived in Lisbon ahead of Barcelona's one-legged Champions League quarter-final clash. Barça take on Bayern Munich on Friday in a competition in which the Azulgranas' captain has had a hand in 148 goals throughout his career. The Argentine has netted 115 times and provided 33 assists in his 142 outings in Europe's elite club competition.

 

Leo Messi has been crowned as The One, a distinction that recognises the best player of the season, after attracting 45.22% of the votes. The accolade, awarded by TyC's Presión Alta show, was voted for by leading figures from within Argentine and world football.

 

Leo Messi has found the net four times in his three Champions League meetings against Bayern Munich. He bagged a brace in the 2008/09 quarter-finals and hit another double in the semi-finals of the 2014/15 edition. The Barcelona captain will bid to secure another European last-four spot, against the German outfit on Friday.
