LEO FACES EGYPT IN THE WORLD CUP ROUND OF 16 AS THE TOURNAMENT’S TOP SCORER

Leo will play this Tuesday in the Round of 16 of the 2026 World Cup with Argentina against Egypt. The Argentine arrives in Atlanta as the tournament’s top scorer with 7 goals, having scored in every match played so far. Argentina and Egypt have faced each other twice in history in friendly matches. The first time was in 1928 in Cairo, and the match ended 6–0 in favor of the current world champions. The second match took place in 2008, also with a victory for Argentina.
