NINETEENTH ANNIVERSARY OF LEO’S FIRST COMPETITIVE GOAL
Por David
Leo will never forget 1 May 2005. It was the day that the Argentine scored his first competitive goal for the Barcelona first team, in a league meeting with Albacete. Leo took to the pitch with the number 30 on his back with four minutes left on the clock, and he managed to find the net twice. The first was chalked off, but shortly after, he produced a similar finish in which he chipped the goalkeeper in front of the 91,000 fans inside the Camp Nou that night. The strike saw Leo claim a record as he become the youngest-ever scorer in the Spanish top flight, aged 17 years, ten months and seven days.
