Leo will play the Leagues Cup quarterfinals this Wednesday with Inter Miami against Tigres de México at Chase Stadium in Florida. The Argentine enters the match with 25 goals in 32 games played this season for Las Garzas.

 

Leo returned to the field this Saturday with a goal and an assist in Inter Miami's 3-1 win over the Los Angeles Galaxy. The Argentine came onto the field in the 46th minute and with six minutes remaining, scored his 19th goal in 19 MLS matches.

 

Leo will play this Saturday in Inter Miami's second Leagues Cup match against Mexico’s Necaxa, following Inter Miami’s debut victory and Leo’s two assists against Atlas. A win would leave Las Garzas with six points and on the verge of advancing to the next round of the tournament they won in 2023. Leo has scored 10 goals and provided 3 assists in the 8 matches he's played in this competition so far.

 

Leo provided both assists for Inter Miami's goals in their 2-1 victory over Mexico's Atlas in their Leagues Cup debut, held at Chase Stadium. With these assists, the Argentine continues his hot streak in the tournament that aims to crown the best team in North America—with 10 goals and 3 assists across 8 matches played.

 

Leo will make his debut this Wednesday in the latest edition of the Leagues Cup, in the match to be played at Chase Stadium against Mexican side Atlas. This tournament brings together the top 18 teams from MLS and the 18 teams from Liga MX, and will be held in two stages: the First Phase and the Knockout Rounds. Inter Miami returns to a tournament they won two summers ago, coinciding with Leo’s arrival to the team. The Argentine star has scored 10 goals in the 7 matches he’s played in this competition that determines the best team in North America.

 

Leo scored another brace in the MLS, extending his historic record by netting twice in six consecutive league matches. This time it came during Inter Miami’s 5–1 thrashing of New York RB. He also assisted his team’s opening goal. With this, the Argentine tallies 18 goals in 18 games this year in the MLS. The win puts Inter in fifth place, seven points behind the leader, though they have nine fewer points left to play for.
