Barcelona claimed a 1-1 draw against Napoli at Stadio San Paolo in the first leg of the sides' Champions League last-16 tie. The Azulgranas will look to book their place in the next round at the Camp Nou in the second leg on 18 March.

This Tuesday sees Barcelona contest the first leg of their Champions League last 16-tie against Napoli. This match will be the first time that Leo Messi has played at the San Paolo and the Argentine has expressed his excitement at the prospect: "I've been wanting to play at this stadium for a long time and we never got the chance. The opportunity has finally come and I can't wait to see what it's like. Playing there will be a really special experience", he commented.

Barcelona secured a 5-0 win over Eibar, with Leo Messi netting four of the goals. This is the fifth time that the Barça captain has claimed a four-goal haul in a league fixture and the sixth of his career.

This Saturday sees Barcelona welcome Eibar to the Camp Nou in the latest round of La Liga fixtures. Leo Messi heads into the game as the league's leading marksman (14) and top assists provider (12).

Leo Messi has received the Laureus Sportsman of the Year accolade. This latest distinction rounds off a 2019 in which the Barcelona captain landed the Ballon d'Or, the European Golden Show and the Best FIFA Men's Player award. "It's a great pleasure to receive this award. I want to thank my teammates, my family and everyone who follows me because they're the ones who make these individual awards possible", commented Messi.
